Stand Out and Succeed with Executive Presence

Stand Out and Succeed with Executive Presence

Recently I wrote a linked post about Executive Presence and how I learned about it the hard way. As promised, I am adding more context on how this matters to leaders of all levels.

The Top Attributes contributing to the Executive Presence fall into three major categories.

Executive Presence Dimensions

Right Mindset: The "Character" adds substance and credibility to your Presence, like wearing a superhero???? suit underneath that fancy exterior. So, when the going gets tough, you can confidently rip off that suit and save the day with your true character powers!

Right Skill Set: Executive Presence without competency in leadership is like a chef???? without culinary skills. Sure, you might look impressive in your chef's hat, but when it comes to making the right decisions, solving complex problems, and guiding your team, you'll be stirring up a pot of disaster.

Right Style: Style matters for Executive Presence because it's like the icing on the leadership cake??. The sprinkle catches the eye, makes conversation memorable, and shows you have your act together.

Bates has done extensive research, and their EPI model expands the said competencies into attributes.

When I started my Coach journey, I had to touch upon all three dimensions to build my Executive Presence from this model.

This model gives you a high-level perspective about attributes that matter; the key??? is to hone the three dimensions with your natural strengths?? and consciously remove the Blindspots??.

Three Books helped me to hone this skill. ??

I want to end this article with a video narrating an interesting journey similar to mine.

I noticed many leaders are stagnated in their careers despite being highly competent. One of the most common pitfalls for this stagnation or slow growth is the need for a Powerful Executive Presence.

Conscious Competence > Unconscious Ignorance
