STAMPED CONCRETE
Stamped concrete is?concrete that has been imprinted, or that is patterned, textured, or embossed to resemble brick, slate,?flagstone, stone, tile, wood, or various other patterns and textures.
Most modern concrete stamps are made of polyurethane, but older "cookie cutter" style stamps were made of various metals. The old style stamps lacked the capabilities of forming natural stone texture. Concrete stamping is the procedure which uses the concrete stamps to make the pattern in the stamped concrete.
For stamping work, you typically want what we refer to as a?"fatty" mix, one with a sufficient amount of cement paste to provide a layer of cream on the surface.
Just like stamped concrete, other popular materials, such as bricks?and stones, also look great and enhance the value of your home. And because they form a surface of many interlocking pieces, they’re helpful if you’re trying to cover uneven ground. It can be difficult to pour level concrete on an uneven surface. However, you'll often see weeds popping up in the spaces between pavers while nothing should be able to grow up through concrete.
Stamped concrete can create a unique aesthetic for entry walkways, or you can use natural stamp textures to improve the walking surface of outdoor entertainment areas like a hot tub, pool or outdoor kitchen.
