Getting dumped sucks.
Big time.
Shit hurts.
Unfortunately some poor fuckers just can't take the hint. Next thing you know you have a defenceless girl getting stalked by some moron who can't accept the idea that she doesn't like him. Case in point:
Three hours ago a good friend of mine sent me a message on Whatsapp. It was a series of screenshots from a thread on Ye Olde Facebook where some poor bastard was asking how to get his girl to talk to him again. What truly made me sick was how the guy clearly explained how the girl not only cut him out of her life... but also made it known she didn't want to be with him anymore.
And everyone's advice?
They just kept tellling him to “keep trying”.
To... “Follow his heart and not his mind”...
To “Keep pushing forwards until she sees the light”.... and you wanna know what following that kinda shitty advice does?
It turns men into stalkers.
Unfortunately some dumb sods can't take the damn hint and realise when a girl says no, she means it.
Ironically, it's the same thing when it comes to email.
You'd surprised just how many marketers can't get the fucking hint when you click unsubscribe to let them know you don't want to hear from them anymore... for whatever reasons. Mind you this group is not that big.
But it's existence is till a blight on email marketing as a whole. And it's because of these cucks the powers that be have to yank out a new law from their collective assholes making it harder to do our damn jobs and send the emails our lists live off.
These are the guys who, soon as you unsubscribe from their list, lo and behold... they add you back.
They think, for some reason beyond me, if they keep adding you back to their lists and bombarding you with their promotions then hopefully one of these days you're gonna buy from them.
I swear, if they're willing to go that far to keep their subscribers in their list they might as well buy a pair of binoculars and watch their subscribers brush their teeth at night from a tree branch. Because under any other circumstances such mindless persistance would be called stalking.
Meh.
Moral of this story?
Leave the unsubs be.
It will happen. No doubt about it.
Very few relationships ever last forever.
Trying to keep adding unsubscribers back to your list is a serious case of a “scarcity” mindset. Seriously. If you're so worried about the people leaving your list, then how about working on making sure you have a consistent flow of new subscribers... AND you have emails worth sticking around for.
Trust me, it's easier, and better than trying to stalk your subscribers without breaking the restraining order.
And IF you want emails worth sticking around for, feel free PM me and let's talk ;)
And let's kick some ass.
… Till the next wave of madness... Vae Victis...
