Staging a Wadeview Park Home on Zombie House Flipping (S2 E9)

The Orlando real estate scene continues to have unique properties in dire need of some TLC. In Zombie House Flipping season two episode nine, the Zombie team managed to wrangle one of their most unruly homes yet. 

Nestled in a great school district in Wadeview Park, the starter home in this episode is one of the smallest zombies the team has tackled. Still, it proved to have just as many challenges as the bigger zombies.

Keith immediately diagnosed a lumpy roof, and the interior looked like actual zombies were living in the home. The windowless kitchen and spider-infested sun-room made the team skeptical about taking on the project. Thankfully, Ashlee volunteered to take the lead on the design and building decisions so the team decided to move forward with the purchase. We’re so glad they did!

About the Wadeview Park Zombie

Despite a snake infestation and a 30ft tree branch that crashed through the living room, the house featured on Zombie House Flipping season two episode nine had a lot going for it. It is in a great school district and in a desirable up and coming neighborhood close to downtown. Ashlee’s vision turned the house from a 2/1 to a 3/2, which really allowed the MHM Professional Staging team to maximize the possibilities for buyers to envision themselves in the home.

Staging the Home

The MHM team loved staging this Wadeview Park Zombie. The added dining room and Ashlee’s decision to build a vaulted roofline created a unique and intriguing modern vibe which we were able to complement with clean and contemporary furnishings and decorative elements throughout the home. We also loved the light blue paint color Ashlee chose for the interior!

In the Living Room

The modern clerestory windows allowed tons of natural light into the living room. We staged this space with neutral-colored fabric seating, which softened the modern lines in the room. Vertical artwork highlighted the beautiful vaulted ceiling that made this room so special. 

In the Dining Room

We staged the sleek dining room with grey and blue chairs to echo the grey floor tiles and blue walls. We also incorporated a blue and white abstract painting by our Founder & CEO Megan Morris to tie the entire room together.

In the Kitchen

The sleek, modern kitchen is eye-catching and beautiful. Sometimes all it takes is a touch of green and a simple bowl of fruit to help buyers envision themselves cooking dinner for their families. 

In the Master Bedroom

Our stagers continued to use soft fabrics and complementary tones in the master bedroom to create a cozy and inviting space. The oversized rectangular art mirrors the large rectangular windows, giving the room a cohesive and purposeful design.

In the Master Bath

A touch of green and plush white towels balance the harder materials in this room. The softer elements create perfect harmony and a spa-like retreat.

In the Guest Bedroom

In the guest bedroom, an eye-catching headboard makes the full-size bed feel bigger than it actually is. The decorative art on either side of the window adds even more visual interest to this room. Wooden bedside tables round out the materials and textures.
