Stage to Start Strong (SSS)-Bridge to Scale Up

On January 5th, 2022,INNVEST officially launched the implementation of “Stage to Start Strong -Bridge to Scale Up”, a pilot project supported by GIZ programme ProSeed in Albania.

Building young people’s digital skills – allows them to better access the digital sphere in their studies, transition to work, and to participate democratically in society. This is especially important to overcome the isolation experienced during the pandemic and to ensure that young people are connected and engaged in the world around them.

INNVEST managed to match make graduate 30 job seekers from the ICT sector with Top 10 Companies in Albania, eager to make these skilled talents career ready. ?All the stages were divided in a strategic plan to fulfil the specific gaps of themselves by evolving their knowledge, also by being monitored & supervised by a professional expert in the role of a supervisor. We all are excited to perceive the progress of the true exponential impact that this programme will establish even for the near future by margin successfully in a very short term the labor markets need with great potential of Albanian talents that our country is delighted to maintain within our country.

The objective of this pilot stage Programme is to give students to apply their knowledge and skills in a real company to significant issues and problems within. With this opportunity the students elucidate and refine their career objectives and directions. On the other side the companies have a chance to train, upscale and get to know future workforce. ?The stages will strengthen ICT specific skills, focus on “deep/tech” skills such as cybersecurity, software developing, coding as well as in other tech skills that the market demands.?

Digital skills are a way to ensure that everyone can participate, contribute, and benefit in the digital world.?

The main goal is to provide students /young talents with an environment that facilitates increasing knowledge, enhancing skills/ competencies and enabling students /young talents to identify strengths, identify and upgrade those skills that need improvement in line with her career goals, and to enable students /young talents to strengthen their commitment towards becoming responsible well-trained professionals with a code of ethics.

The Top 10 companies are INNVEST Members:Albanian Business Partner (ABP), Vatra Agency, KreatX, AESS, EasyPay Albania, Ikons, Kube Studios, New Media Communications, Iceberg Communications and BTech.

The talents were represented by the most ICT Faculties Departments and ICT Academies in our country such are, SDA Program by Protik, Luarasi University, Barleti Group, Metropolitan University, Albania Marketing Academy.

Since, the Government of Albania (GOA) is focuses on promoting and supporting SMEs in several industries, a priority is given to the ICT sector. Micro, Small and medium-size enterprises (MSME) in this moment of growth of the ICT market, see themselves confronted with a lack of skilled workforce to recruit for future projects. Albania has a young and educated population, often able to speak more than one foreign language. Within the last years the ICT-Sector has seen a continuous growth and ability to absorb qualified workforce. This sector has been supported by the government with public investment. The most important intervention through a fiscal policy with a reduced income tax of 5%. for companies whose activities are software development, IT, programming and everything related to the ICT sector.

In this regard, INNVEST has within its mission and objective building and strengthening an enterprises network that has a concrete impact on our economy by providing opportunities for growth, matching opportunities, supporting and encouraging young generations, students and free lancers as future entrepreneurs while decreasing the gap between the labor market with adapted capacities skills and re up skills.?The scope of INNVEST is to foster intermediation process across strategic sectors such as ICT sector, as an important drive for positive change.
