As companies go through digital transformation during this pandemic and economic crisis, some business models and operating models are at risk. Therefore, the companies which have initiated their journey to create a digital model will see increase in profits and revenue. Moreover, adopting a CI/CD pipeline and agile methodologies will help companies reach their goals to profitability, OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and employee re-skilling. Increasingly important are unbiased data and AI/ML models to drive positive outcomes.
Creating a new ecosystem with employee re-skilling, hybrid agile teams, AI/ML, robots, differentiated data, API's, digital platforms, mobile applications, cybersecurity, and hybrid cloud is even more important as we head into the new normal. However, there is an ever increasing emphasis on cybersecurity as we tread into new areas of innovation and technology.
Notably, it is critical to have buy-in of the teams and leadership to all initiatives. Teams can decide what works best for them to have a productive collaboration with agile methodologies. Daily prioritization is critical for all agile initiatives. Releasing early and often is the key to success. The focus has to be business value to end customer instead of technical features. Finally, the companies have to use visual work flow and use agile tools to reach their goals. Most importantly, using the agile metrics and monitoring their progress will lead to successful digital transformation. Lean principles always apply to our critical processes, At the end we are solving a customer's problem but should have the ability to scale as we increase adoption.
