Tax Avoidance Uncovered: Protect Your Business from Risky Schemes – Friday 8th November 11:00-12:00

Tax avoidance involves manipulating the tax system to gain an unfair advantage, staying within the letter of the law but not its spirit. Promoters of tax avoidance schemes often make misleading claims, such as suggesting HMRC endorsement or promising to increase take-home pay.

As outlined in HMRC guidance, most tax avoidance schemes simply do not work, and those who participate may end up paying far more than the tax they attempted to avoid, including potential penalties.

Join ALP and special guest Owen Maddock from HMRC (His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) to gain a clear understanding of:

  • The legal requirements surrounding tax compliance
  • Common forms of tax avoidance within the labour provision sector
  • The consequences of using tax avoidance schemes
  • Key due diligence practices to protect your business from risky schemes

This webinar is free of charge for all labour providers and those who use them.

Not a member yet? ALP welcomes labour providers and those who use them as members. Join here and attend all our webinars free of charge.

We are excited to announce the return of our Annual Christmas Shoebox Appeal.

Every year, we support local charities within our communities to spread festive cheer to those less fortunate. Between now and Christmas, we will create shoeboxes full of essential and fun items and deliver them to chosen charities before Christmas Day.

Here are some examples of items we would be collecting:

Toys: Soft toys, puzzles, building blocks, dolls, small games, etc.

Personal care: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, combs, etc.

Educational supplies: Pens, pencils, colouring books, notebooks, etc.

Miscellaneous: Socks, scarves, sweets, small torches, etc.

(these items may change depending on the charity and the items they request)

If you would like to partner with us and contribute to our Shoebox Appeal this year, we can arrange to collect any donations, or you’re welcome to drop them off at your local Stafforce Hub. We can then wrap them up and deliver them!

By working together, we can make a real difference for families and individuals who might otherwise go without during this time of year. We truly appreciate any support you can offer.
