Briefly describe your role with the Community Violence and Trauma Support Team:
I provide trauma-informed case management to youth and families after a youth experiences a violent assault. Our Violence Intervention Program is client-driven, so my work depends on the families' goals. I often support with mental health connections, educational advocacy, medical advocacy, utilities support, and extracurricular connections.?
What do you find most fulfilling about your job?
My favorite part of my job is building relationships with our families, especially the teens. It is a privilege to learn about their dreams and get to support them. It makes me so happy that I get to watch them grow, develop interests, and take risks.?
