Meet Irene García, our Team Manager in the Members Area. We took some time to talk to Irene about her role here at ExoClick, some of her favorite aspects of the job, what skills she believes are key to being a successful team leader, and what she likes about the company culture.

Q1 Hello Irene, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to speak with us. In your opinion, what are the most important aspects of your role as a Team Manager in the Members Area?

As a Team Manager, my primary focus is on motivating the team to work towards a common goal. Within ExoClick, this translates to our team's dedication to serving Dating Members Area sites. We aim to cultivate and nurture strong client relationships, addressing any queries to support our team in doing the same. Additionally, I conduct research on market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and integration of emerging trends. This ensures that my team and I provide clients with the latest information and optimize their experience within ExoClick’s Network. Internally, a key aspect of my role is fostering effective communication within the team and ensuring that each member feels supported. I facilitate brainstorming sessions and strategy development to enhance client outcomes on the ExoClick Platform. Furthermore, I engage in communication with other departments, including IT, Analytics, Marketing, and Advertising, to streamline operations and maximize client satisfaction.

Q2 What qualities and skills make a good Members Area Team Manager??

In my role, I find that recognizing customer needs, staying informed of industry trends, and maintaining effective communication with team members is crucial. I pride myself on being quite a strong communicator and enjoy interacting with others on a daily basis. Additionally, my strong problem-solving skills enable me to think of creative solutions that help prevent any difficulties.

#3 Can you describe a day in the life of an ExoClick Team Manager in the Members area??

A day in the life of a team manager is always dynamic. I take on various roles, such as working closely with the team to ensure that all members are achieving their goals and understanding their tasks. I engage with clients, addressing any questions they may have and assisting them in developing strategies to achieve their desired outcomes from the ExoClick Network. Lastly, I investigate the end users' journey for clients, collaborating with the Advertising team to ensure a seamless and optimal experience for customers from both perspectives.

#4 Tell us a little bit about the hiring process, how do you onboard new Publishers to ExoClick?

When it comes to Publishers, there is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach. Each member of our team is unique, and therefore, the onboarding process is tailored on a case-by-case basis. When bringing on a new team member, we provide extensive training to ensure they grasp the company ethos and platform. We also facilitate meetings with each department to familiarize them with the company's structure and team dynamics, allowing them to build relationships with their colleagues. Following the training, we assist them in developing customized plans for clients, as personalization is key in ExoClick. As team members settle in, we continue to provide training on new regulations, best practices, and emerging trends to maintain our expertise in Publishing.

#5 What is your approach when talking to clients? How do you build a relationship with them?

I enjoy engaging with people and have a genuine interest in fostering relationships. When reaching out to clients, I aim to maintain professionalism while also showing a personal interest in them. I believe that establishing authentic, honest connections with clients is essential for our work. It is crucial to dedicate the necessary time to understand their objectives fully, provide assistance in achieving them, and cultivate mutual trust.

#6 What do you enjoy the most about working with your team?

There are many aspects that I appreciate in my team, including its diversity, kindness, and the willingness of everyone to share knowledge and offer support. However, my favorite aspect is our collaborative teamwork. Given the ever-evolving nature of our industry, I value the opportunity to tackle new challenges together and brainstorm innovative solutions.

#7 What do you like the most about working at ExoClick?

#8 Do you have advice for anyone wanting to work as the Team Manager in the Members area??

It is crucial to continuously enhance both your technical and interpersonal skills, particularly in the tech industry. My advice for those aspiring to become a team manager is to demonstrate a genuine interest in the company, conduct research on relevant areas within Publishing, and consistently upskill to stay abreast of the rapidly changing environment. There is a wealth of knowledge to be gained from this dynamic field.
