Stability among the uncertainty and embracing the new opportunities

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to InX Connect – the monthly newsletter aiming to accelerate success and inspire leaders through industry expert insights. I can hardly believe it, but we’ve already reached the halfway point of 2024.

In this month’s newsletter, we wanted to pause and reflect on the first half of the year and look ahead to what the next six months (and beyond) might hold.

Uncertainty continues to be a defining factor for businesses in 2024, complicating executive decision-making and responsibilities. And while the market remains more challenging than in 2022, we are beginning to see ‘green shoots’ of recovery, allowing for a bit more confidence.

Our Brand Manager, Becca Boulton, sat down with me and a couple of InX and Investigo board members - Derek Mackenzie (CEO) and Matt Smith (Managing Director)—to discuss how 2024 has unfolded in recruitment and executive search. We also explored:

  • The evolving role of tech leaders in businesses
  • The most in-demand roles, from CISOs and CLOs to the new generation of CFOs
  • Current challenges in finding skilled talent and strategies to overcome them
  • How talent and businesses can stand out in the current market

Additionally, we shared our predictions for the remainder of the year and why we are becoming “increasingly comfortable with uncertainty.” Periods of change create opportunities, and this can be highly positive for those seeking new roles.
