DARE TO STAND FOR GOD
“He [THE LORD] was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So He Himself stepped in to save them with His mighty power and justice.” (Isaiah 59:16 NLT)
People are God’s medium of intervention on earth. People are God’s tools and systems through which He carries out His agenda on earth.
God has made it so, so that human beings can participate with Him to birth His will and establish His plans and purposes on earth.
There are things God will not do, and realities He will not bring into existence on earth unless He finds someone who will dare stand for and cooperate with Him.
God desires to legislate and intervene in the affairs of men, but in many cases, He requires the authorisation and participation of someone to fully carry out His plan.
Understand that there are certain laws and protocols of nature that even God has subjected Himself to with respect to the affairs of men, even though He is God.
And He will not break those laws or bypass due protocols unless in rare cases and under certain circumstances which demand the exercise of His sovereignty as God.
But in everyday matters of human life, God loves to work in partnership with people. He doesn’t like to work in isolation, but in partnership with people.
So, if God is going to work in your family, finance, marriage, community, nation, health, etc, then He is going to require some form of authorisation and participation from you.
Look again at our opening text. It says that, “He [THE LORD] was AMAZED to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.”
But why was God amazed? It was because He expected someone to intervene in the matter. He expected someone to take responsibility for the situation.
He had obviously seen that this was a human thing and a human being should take care of it, but no one actually came forward to salvage the situation. And so, God was amazed.
Could it be that this is the situation of things in our world today? Is God actually amazed at the realities of our world? Could it be that He is expecting us to do something rather than wait for Him to intervene?
Could it be that the missing link to the salvation we desperately desire for our world is the performance of those whom God has enabled to bring about the much needed change?

Someone has got to dare to stand for God. Irrespective of which area of human life and endeavour the change is required, someone has got to stand for God in that area.
God works, but most of the time, He wants to work through human beings. And qualifications and abilities are not sometimes the limitations or considerations for His workings in people, but their decision and determination to stand for God and bring Him into the situation.
You may not be the most qualified, strongest or smartest one in the pack. But if you will dare stand for God, He will do amazing things in and through you.
The matters of men require the interventions of men. Even the salvation of the world was not obtained through the sacrifice of an angel or a ‘supernatural being’.
Jesus had to come as a man (human being), and as human being he died on the cross to obtain salvation for every human being.
Society will never be brought under conformity to the plan and purpose of God unless believers begin to legislate and intervene in matters of men.
As long as we fold our hands and expect God to ‘supernaturally’ change or fix things, the devil will continue to spoil things and make life unbearable both for us and the people of the world.
Believers must dare to stand for God in the world. Believers must begin to take their place in the real-life affairs of the world to influence the world for God.
Those who believe in God must begin to speak and act for Him on earth. It is time for us to take our place on God’s behalf in our families, in our communities, in the educational sector, in politics, in entertainment, in the business and commerce industry, in the world of science and technology, etc.
Unless we intervene, God may not intervene. He is waiting for us to do something to change our world.
Study the exploits of David’s mighty men in 2 Samuel chapter 23. Each of those warriors took responsibility for their king even when they were left all alone. But God worked through them to bring about victory for the nation.
Get up, mighty warrior, and do something about the political situation in your country! Get up, soldier of Christ, and change the narratives in the media and marriage! God is waiting for you.
Dare to stand for the Lord. You can do it. You can change the world as one man/woman.
Look away from your present limitations and trust the Lord to work in and through you.
Dare to stand for the Lord!!!!
