News: Disney pays $900M for MLB’s stake in BAMTech

华特迪士尼公司 . has officially acquired 100 percent of BAMTECH Media , the streaming video technology company that it acquired majority ownership of in 2017 from Major League Baseball (MLB) . According to a footnote in the company’s annual report, which it filed Tuesday, Disney paid Major League Baseball $900 million for its 15 percent stake in the company, now known as “Disney Streaming,” earlier in November. Disney and the sports league had the right to force a buyout of the stake based on its fair market value beginning earlier this year. Disney had bought the National Hockey League's 10 percent stake in BAMTech for $350 million last year.

News: Seattle Seahawks’ expand Amazon ‘Just Walk Out’ tech at Lumen Field

The Seattle Seahawks have expanded the number of ‘Just Walk Out’ retail kiosks at Lumen Field, with the NFL franchise’s home stadium now housing a bigger deployment of the Amazon technology than any other US sports venue. Lumen Field opened its first Just Walk Out kiosk ahead of the 2022 season and now the Seahawks introduced three additional locations using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology in the 68,740-seat stadium’s main concourse for the game against the Las Vegas Raiders on November 27.
