PGA TOUR and Autograph to create NFT platform allowing fans to own moments of golf history
The PGA TOUR and Autograph , the web3 brand co-founded by National Football League (NFL) legend Tom Brady, have announced a long-term deal to create a comprehensive “digital collectibles” NFT platform that pulls moments from TOUR competition video, data, imagery and other competition-related components. Golf fans will have the opportunity to own and collect NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) featuring the best PGA TOUR golfers in the world as well as some of their favourite moments from the archives and the current FedExCup Season. Additionally, collectors will have a chance to earn rewards with a wide range of utility, including access to exclusive digital, in-person and onsite experiences, along with other program benefits.
Amazon’s Thursday Night Football debut draws record number of Prime signups
亚马逊 ’s first broadcast of “Thursday Night Football” attracted a record number of new Prime signups over a three-hour period, more than during similar periods on Prime Day or other big shopping days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers last week was the first of 15 games Amazon will broadcast as part of a deal with the National Football League (NFL) . Amazon is spending about $1 billion per year to exclusively stream Thursday Night Football through 2033.
TGI Sport acquires BrandBrigade ad tech firm
Bruin Capital -owned sports tech, marketing and media company TGI Sport has acquired the advertising technology company BrandBrigade, acquired by TGI Sport . The New York-based firm specialises in virtual advertising and product placement. Its tech has been used in broadcast production for numerous sports properties - including the National Basketball Association (NBA) , National Hockey League (NHL) , and Major League Baseball (MLB) - and is set to roll out its solutions for advertising in streaming services later this year.
Therabody expands recovery technology range with new sleep-focused wearable technology
Therabody , the recovery technology company widely endorsed by sports teams and professional athletes, has released three new products including the company's first wearable technology. The launch includes the fifth generation of its signature Theragun Pro percussive therapy device, a smaller Theragun mini 2.0 massage gun and new sleep-focused SmartGoggles, Therabody's first wearable product.

Sports metaverse platform receives $200m Investment
Sports-focused blockchain gaming platform LootMogul has secured a $200 million investment from alternative investment firm Global Emerging Markets.?LootMogul has announced it will use the capital to build?metaverse gaming environments?allowing fans to engage with athletes, teams, and brands via virtual “sport cities”.?LootMogul has already?partnered?with more than?180?professional athletes in the U.S. and is currently onboarding over?1.5 million?high school and college athletes. The platform will?build?more than?200 virtual cities?with the investment from GEM and plans to have those cities available across multiple platforms, including? Meta ’s Oculus.?
Industry veterans launch fund targeting businesses that accelerate innovation through disruptive technologies
David Abrams, most recently head of investments at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, and Arne Rees , former U.S. chief executive of Sportradar, have co-founded Velocity Capital Management - a new investment fund that will back start-ups looking to capitalise on the growing opportunities at the intersection of sports, media and entertainment. Velocity will target businesses that accelerate innovation through disruptive technologies and improve the ways people consume content, play and experience sports, and interact with each other. Velocity will focus on control and non-control equity investments up to $50 million, in companies with enterprise values up to $2 billion.
