NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) have announced that St Nicolas Clinic will be improved and expanded to meet the needs of the growing local population and enable the St Nicolas Medical Centre GP Practice to continue to operate from the site in Nuneaton on a permanent basis.?
The practice will deliver primary care services to local residents, with there also being plans to expand primary care services at other nearby GP practices.
The need for a permanent GP practice site comes after an increase in the local population which has largely been caused by a new housing development.?
The St Nicolas Clinic site will undergo a refurbishment which will see an increase in both clinical space and car parking to provide a high-quality and accessible healthcare facility.
Dr Shakeel Whala, GP Partner & Clinical Lead at St Nicolas Medical Centre, said:
“We’re delighted to deliver primary care services at St Nicolas Medical Centre and are pleased to serve the local community.
“There are exciting plans to develop the St Nicolas medical site further over the coming years and we’re looking forward to working with the ICB to deliver excellent services for patients as the local population expands.”
