St. Mary’s Hospital Receives “A” Grade for Patient Safety

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Madison has earned an “A” grade for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group for the fourth consecutive time. St. Mary’s Hospital was one of 832 out of 2,600 U.S. hospitals to be awarded an “A” for our commitment to keeping patients safe and meeting the highest safety standards.

The Leapfrog Group is a national, independent health care ratings organization that represents the gold standard for patient safety measures. Twice a year Leapfrog assigns letter grades to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harm, and then ranks states according to the number of hospitals with “A” grades. Wisconsin is one of five states to have shown the most improvement over the five years since the inception of Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Grade, going from 44th in 2012 to sixth in 2017.

This designation is a testament to the dedication of employees achieving the high standards we as an organization have set for patient safety. Join Our Team: SSMHealthCareers.com or email resume to [email protected]

Yes, It is still a great place! Are focus is to hire to fit the Mission and Values of the organization and you can feel it when you walk through the hospital.
