?St. Baldrick's at The Harp Irish Pub!?
It's almost that time yet again! On Saturday, March 10, my Team Spider Monkey colleagues and I will be joining forces with others at The Harp in Roswell, GA, to get our heads shaved in support of The St. Baldrick's Foundation and the fight to conquer childhood cancers!
More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease—in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined. Before they turn 20, about 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will have cancer. Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every two minutes!
This is why St. Baldrick's is fighting to close the funding gap when it comes to childhood cancers...which only receives about 4% of the public (government) cancer research funding in the U.S. It's also why Team Spider Monkey has been part of the fight since I started getting my head shaved back in 2008! Through 2017, my friends and I have raised over $200,000 in support of the over $232 million that St. Baldrick's has granted to support the researchers working to find new and better protocols to reclaim so many childhoods from this disease.
But the fight continues, and I'll be going under the clippers for an 11th straight year to do what I can...but I need your help. Please go to my St. Baldrick's webpage and donate whatever you can (NO donation too small!) and then please share the link with your friends and connections!
Because every two minutes!....
