St Augustine Film Festival 2018 – Day 1
Now in its 8th year, this intimate 4-day Festival is held in the downtown historic city center, with theaters within walking distance of one another, and many opportunities in between films to take in such sites. Some of these include the Castillo de San Marco Fort; the beautiful Lightner Museum (where we host one of our galas); a tour of Flagler College, originally a hotel when it was built in the late 1800s, or a trolley tour around the city to see its highlights. And at night, enjoy the Festival of Lights, one of the top-ranked attractions in the US. The CEO and Director of the Film Festival is Gregory von Hausch, who is also responsible for the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, which runs every November. He selects an eclectic group of foreign and independent films from around the world. Films are shown in Lewis Auditorium, and the Gamache-Koger Theater that are part of Flagler College, as well as at all three viewing rooms of The Corazon Cinema and Café.
