SSG Assists UTK in Pool Emergency

In an unusual situation, SSG Pools, New England's largest pool builder came to the rescue of the University of Tennessee - Knoxville (UTK). On Wednesday, June 13, a cracked was noticed in one of the Allan Jones Aquatic Center's pipes. After contacting local plumbing experts, the athletics department was quoted a full week for the supplies needed to fix the leak. With an SEC regional meet approaching that weekend, the UTK staff would have been forced to cancel the event.

As a last resort, a member of the UTK staff contacted SSG Pools. Because of the large volume of commercial pools and inventory that SSG accounts for, the North Billerica company was in possession of the required materials. The supplies were shipped overnight and within 24 hours the package was received and the leak was repaired.

This story may seem peculiar, that's because it is! It just so happened to be that a member of their athletic department was from Massachusetts. Upon contacting SSG, he recalled his awareness of the company through their service of the Weymouth Club, depicted below.
