THE STORY BEGINS......

The SRSLY Low Carb journey started with a simple yet lingering craving, an immovable yet heartfelt craving for a healthy sandwich. Our founder, Andy, had chosen to lead a fitter, healthier lifestyle and as a result started experimenting with the keto diet, which historically meant dodging foods like bread, pasta and potatoes.?But for all the healthy upsides that Andy quickly enjoyed, Andy soon found himself growing tired of never-ending conveyor belt of leafy salads.

Deep down Andy knew that he missed the versatility of bread, but bread in its current incarnation was simply too high in needless carbs and sugar.

Tasty, wholesome ‘low carb’ bread - how hard could that be to find? ?The search began in earnest, spanning every conceivable food emporium from small artisan farm shops and global supermarkets chains to elitist websites, and dodgy social media recipes.?At each and every turn Andy found himself confronted by overpriced and underwhelming mixes, neon-coloured powders, dubious unsubstantiated claims and gloopy frozen dough that quite honestly missed the mark in terms of taste, nutrition and underlying foodie joy!

Andy’s next thought was to make amazing bread himself because by now his ‘bread urges’ were out of control!?Andy was no longer thinking about a simple tasty sandwich but a full-scale bread revolution.?Aligning with a like-minded huddle of nutritionists, bakers, athletes and passionate foodies Andy eventually struck gold.
