Her commitment to education and her belief in the transformative power of knowledge is truly inspiring. Here is what we learned when sitting and listening to her during the lunch break in our employee’s cafeteria.
Sreypich is currently a third-year student at PSE – Pour Un Sourire d’Enfant, an NGO school that trains unprivileged Cambodian children, pse.ngo. She is doing her major in engineering.
During the conversation, we asked her why you chose to study engineering.
She explained that she initially explored administrative studies in business. After completing the foundational administration courses, it was during the career orientation that she was introduced to and discovered her true calling. She wanted to prove that women are not limited by certain types of jobs and skills. She can make a difference to the old thought. ?Ignited her imagination, inspiring visions of monumental structures—bridges spanning distant landscapes and towering skyscrapers reaching for the sky, encountering and receiving advice from senior students and professors further fueled her fascination, leading her to choose a major that is usually a man-dominated skill: engineering.
