Sr. Cost Accountant-Dallas, TX
This role is a Sr. Cost Accountant position for a company in North Dallas. This company is a $4b global manufacturer of health products and cosmetics. This position with be a plant based position focusing on operations accounting. You are going to be managing the standard cost of numerous parts and products. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate standard costs, analyzing manufacturing variances, preparing and analyzing operational metrics, cost modeling and month end reconciliations and reports.
When I asked the hiring manager who is the Director of Finance why she joined the company earlier this year one of the big points was the stability of the company. It was founded in 1978 with HQ in Phoenix, AZ and has grown to be a $4b global manufacturer without debt! They are an extremely steady working environment, most employees at this company have at least 10 years tenure. The owner is a big reason why. He is very family oriented and cares for the employees.
This Dallas plant is supposed to be doing some good volume and have a lot of activity. You won’t be out on the floor that much, but you will interact with the operations team and know what is going on out there. In this role, you will interact several VP’s and the Plant Manager. It seems like you will have to do some cleanup work after their implementation making sure cost are right and create standardized process. The company recently converted its ERP system to a system called IFS.
Hiring manager is wanting someone with a strong knowledge of BOM’s and routers, preferably a more complex BOM with a large number of SKU’s. Someone who understand absorption and variance analysis. The last person in this role is still with the company, but they moved on to another project.
This company has a great culture and offers good benefits. If you have any interest please let me know. If not for you please consider if you know someone who may be a good fit. I do offer $1,000 as a referral bonus.
