It's one of the most recent episodes of the Drop In CEO podcast, hosted by former podcast guest Deb Coviello.
Deb suggests 10 seconds instead. I agree with her.
10 seconds forces you to make each word count. Shorter also means people have less of a chance to stop listening.
It reminds me of my positioning statement: I work with technical professionals so they can present more effectively, especially in front of non-technical audiences.
10 seconds or less.
When I use it at networking events, people either ask more questions or ask where the restroom is.
At least I know where they stand!
