SPT's latest developments will be presented to the Australian market at the upcoming Drill 2022 Conference and Exhibition
Stockholm Precision Tools AB (SPT)
We take pride in our unparalleled expertise in crafting directional survey tools for high precision downhole navigation.
SPT will present its latest products and technology developments to the drilling sector at the upcoming Drill 2022 Conference and Exhibition in Australia. The tradeshow will be from May 17th to the 19th at the Adelaide Convention Centre, where we will exhibit at booth 34.
Our colleague and SPT Region Manager for Australasia, Masoud Jangani and his team will welcome the visitors and introduce our latest products and developments.
This exciting event is organized by the Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA), one of the oldest drilling associations dating back to 1956. SPT is a proud member of ADIA.
The objective of this trade show is to promote the drilling industry and, specifically, to help introduce new technologies and concepts to drive the sector forward in the areas of exploration and drilling techniques applied to mineral extraction.
SPT is at the forefront of mining technology with its latest release: GyroGamma?.
We are delighted to showcase our latest product, GyroGamma?, at ADIA DRILL 2022. SPT’s GyroGamma? tool is one of the company’s major product launches. It is a leading technology for mineral exploration enabling our clients to record the gamma log while taking directional surveys.
This versatile tool will help mineral explorers, and mine developers infer lithology and correlate the drill holes with the ore body.
This product is a game-changer for drilling companies as it can be run in tandem with the GyroMaster? and GyroTracer? directional survey tools. It is also battery-powered, eliminating the need for e-line, saving time and deployment costs.

GyroMaster? is setting the standard for directional surveys in the mining industry. This tool records the most accurate data and does it at any inclination. And now, this flagship gyro tool is going to be even more popular thanks to its combinability with the natural gamma logging tool.
We are also showcasing our latest gyro tool, GyroScout?, at the Drill-2022. This new family member of Navibore? gyros is the smallest gyro tool on the market. It’s less than a meter long (95cm) and weighs only 2.4Kg.
Although this is a lightweight and slim (32mm) gyro it has inherited the robustness of SPT engineering and the Navibore? accuracy.
The slim-built and small size will enable our clients to record directional surveys where deploying conventional gyros is not possible or difficult. This gyro is optimal for blast hole surveying, as well as in sublevel caving operations.
Mining is one of the most important sectors in the Australian economy.
Drill 2022 Conference and Exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to present these new products and make ourselves known to a larger part of Australasia’s drilling sector. Our Australian office started recently in 2021, and we are already making significant progress in this key market.
Mining is one of the most important sectors in the Australian economy. It generated a total of US$270 billion in revenue for Australia last year. It is responsible for sustaining 240,000 direct and 1.1 million indirect employment positions.
Mining produced 10.4% of the national GDP between 2019 and 2020 and accounted for 62% of Australia’s exports. SPT now has the privilege of contributing to the mining industry in Australia by playing an active role in promoting new technologies in this sector.
