You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming. ~Pablo Neruda
I am sure you will want to get up at 5:37 am this Saturday when the vernal equinox arrives in the Northern Hemisphere. With its promise of warmer weather, flowers, and other blooms and blossomings, it is also a celebration of renewal and freshness (which is what 'vernal' translates to).
Given the recent acts of violence against our Asian-American brothers and sisters and other acts of hate throughout the world, it is the perfect time to remind ourselves of our Oneness. No matter the culture, religion, color, or creed, we all derive from the One Mind, the One Power, the One Divine Presence (call It what you will). Anger can dissipate through our awakenings and intelligence, but hate is a dangerous spreading disease, worse than cancer. However, love will spread if we awaken to it. It is a virus we should all catch....and hold onto.
The vernal equinox announces that the dark months are now over and we’re moving into the warmth of the light. As the light grows in the sky, so too should the Light grow in our hearts and stay there.
Focus on love.
Focus on appreciation.
Focus on Oneness.
During the Equinox, the Earth returns to a place of perfect balance. Day & night are equal, bringing the return of some much-needed balance into our lives. Let us allow Spirit within to awaken from the throws of Winter and lockdown. A new dawn has arrived in the wheel of the year. Parts of each of us are being reborn and coming alive anew and fresh in ways they never have before. Life is waking-up and so too should our spirit be ready to make a fresh start with love, kindness, and respect leading the way, burgeoning from the soil of Life.
No Winter lasts forever, no Spring skips its turn. Declare a wake-up call to those who haven't seen the Light. Let us all spring into action and groom the bloom of harmony.
