The Sprout Method. Tools and techniques
The Sprout Studio
We interpret the changes and trends that impact the market in order to create innovative strategies, applicable today.
The Sprout Method is a set of principles, tools and techniques that, applied in a systematic way, collaborate in the development of innovative 360° market strategies. It integrates all the stages of a radical innovation process: from the investigation of trends and construction of future scenarios to the design of powerful and original market offers. It’s the same method we use when working for clients such as Ikea, Hermès, American Express, Givaudan, WPP and Unilever among others.?
The Sprout Method proposes a systematized work in four sequential phases: from the beginning of the research to the design of market strategies. The techniques and tools proposed in each step are designed to stimulate critical analysis and the creative resolution of challenges.
The first phase comprises the investigation of the context. The Future Prism tool facilitates the organization of information into social, economic, technological and creative trends to subsequently define an innovation perimeter and build a future scenario for a specific industry. The second phase involves the company’s interpretation of that future. It develops the Vision, Concept and Meaning that, together, will guide the ideation of the new offering. The third phase includes the design of an innovative Value Sphere, the 360° expression of the strategy towards the market. The fourth phase determines the long-term projection, through the formulation of an action plan, the Seeding Innovation System.

A scenario narrates a possible future. Based on previous research into social, economic, and technological trends, its construction allows a coherent, objective, and well-founded outline of a prospective horizon for a specific industry. To build future scenarios, The Sprout Method uses the #FuturePrism tool to integrate, systematize, and summarize a large amount of diverse qualitative/quantitative information to define a concrete horizon in which to identify business opportunities and develop market solutions.
