Sprint Small Cells To Sprout Up in Oak Park

Mobilitie, on behalf of Sprint, will deploy numerous small cells throughout the Village of Oak Park, IL thanks to the efforts of Wireless Bridge Partners, who negotiated a license agreement between the two entities. Mobilitie has initial plans to install approximately 12 small cells on village owned lamp posts and light poles in high traffic areas.
“We have been working with Oak Park and Village Management who is excited to be able to assist village residents and businesses achieve enhanced wireless coverage,” said Bud Blinick, Managing Partner of Wireless Bridge Partners, LLC. “We are currently working with additional carriers to increase capacity for their networks.”
Wireless Bridge Partners also negotiated a license agreement on behalf of the Village of Oak Park to install an additional 51,452 linear feet of fiber with Sigecom, LLC d/b/a WOW. The deal covers installation and maintenance of fiber optic, underground telecommunications cables, small cellular telecommunications equipment, surface mounts and other related equipment.
