Sprint 6 Reflection
We started off our reflection by compiling a list of potential clients for Verbind Alliance. Alliance is a web application that is specifically a discussion board for questions. Nathan and Rahul worked on compiling a huge list of potential clients; currently, we have around 200. We signed our first contract for $300, and it was really cool seeing the CIO of the school district Roger Brunelle sign off on this. Additionally, I decided to start a new startup, now that I know how to code in Flutter.?
This past November, at a rap concert in which Travis Scott was performing, many had died due to suffocation and trampling from the enormous crowd. Knowing that there were a few people from my hometown that had died in this concert, I was deeply affected by this tragedy, and knew that a young highschool teenager, just like me, did deserve to lose their life during a time when they should be having the time of their life. It made me think: What can I do to prevent this from happening?
That’s when I came across the idea for GeoSonic, an app where, with the tap of a button, you can ping your real time location to a security guard, who can then arrive to your location and help solve the problem at hand. Customer validation surveys shows that 70% of concert goers are interested in and would use this app if they had the option, showing the desire for the product.
I’d say this was a pretty productive and successful sprint.
