Spring & Summer Seasonal Catering Guide

Spring & Summer Seasonal Catering Ideas for Full Team Engagement

With warmer weather, longer days & two years of cabin fever abating, it’s time to plan making the most of your team events over the next few months ??

Here are some of the most popular, economical & customizable types of events guaranteed to bring massive smiles to everyone attending ??

  • Grilling Events
  • Taco Bars & Action Stations
  • Ice Cream Sundae & Floats Parties
  • Luau Themed Happy Hours

Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken, Brats and more prepared on-site with large grills or pre-made to serve buffet style with scratch made sides and desserts. The classic company picnic is always an annual highlight (especially after a two-year miss out) and surprisingly economical. Grills can be set up in office parking lots with the sides, desserts and beverages set up on stations inside or out. Renting out a local city park is a great idea as well (just be sure to have a bad weather back up plan, just in case).

Taco Bars are another economical menu option that appeals to pretty much everyone (don’t forget the “meatless options”). Seasoned ground beef, chopped chicken fajita meat, chopped fajita beef, ?barbacoa – slow cooked beef, pork carnitas, sofritas – seasoned tofu and meatless crumbles are all wonderful choices. Of course lot's of fresh taco toppings, beans, house-made salsas and some churros are essential. Large portable flat top grills with professional station chefs make serving everyone quickly with flair easy!

Ice Cream Sundae Stations and Float Bars offer the biggest bang for the budget as these events typically cost significantly less than other event types while providing an amazing “smile to cost ROI”. Serving ice cream to large groups can get a bit tricky, especially in warmer months, as ice cream loves to melt. Make sure your caterer can transport and serve large amounts of ice cream effectively.

Adding a bit of island escape is easy to do by building a luau themed collection of appetizers and finger foods that taste amazing while presenting beautifully. Stations and/or butler passed… Don’t forgot the tropical specialty cocktail (and TABC certified & insured bartenders) ??
