Challenge:

A Zoho CRM powered company with B2C marketing effort - to understand where leads were coming from to the same landing page and how the campaigns are performing. Zoho CRM has some integrations with AdWords and social, but not all are straightforward (FB for example is sophisticated to figure out), and for some other channels like QR codes or TripAdviser, no connectors.

Solution design:

  • Customerization added special marketing fields to the landing page leveraging traditional digital marketing UTM parameters.Through a special script, UTM parameters are passed through a campaign link to the form and then to CRM.?
  • All the information is managed in CRM through the Leads and Campaigns Modules interlinked with each other (i.e., you can see all the leads resulting from a campaign clicking on a specific campaign in CRM).?
  • For some campaigns marketing/media costs are automatically updated; for others you can update costs manually.?
  • In case of multiple product offer, you can add product info to the Lead record as well.
  • Further into the journey, the leads’ statuses are updated as per the sales journey, as well as the revenue as they’re being charged for services.
  • At the end of the day, you can see the aggregated revenue per campaigns (revenue aggregated per all leads, on the campaign level).

Result:

The client is able to track the performance of any marketing channel/ campaign not only on the marketing, but most importantly, business KPIs level - specifically, ROI per campaign.

Nicely written! Indeed, there are many apps that still don't have native connectors. Didn't know that Trip Advisor was one of them. We learn every day!
