Spring Product Refresh: Why We Re-Launched Our Organic and Hybrid Mattresses

Our very first product at Silk & Snow was a mattress. We broke into the marketplace to offer a new kind of mattress-in-a-box: one that used consciously sourced materials and heritage manufacturing to cater to the values of modern-day consumers - values that our company shares, and still stands behind to this day.?

Over time, we’ve received invaluable customer feedback that inspired new iterations of our beloved mattresses. We see these comments as an opportunity to innovate and ultimately improve our customer’s experience with our brand, so they are even more confident investing in high-quality products for their bedroom.

This spring, after months of prototyping, we re-launched two of our mattresses: the Organic Mattress (now available in Firm, Medium-Firm, and Plush) and the Hybrid Mattress (now available in Plush).?

We spoke with Alex Fung , one of our Product Specialists, to learn more about the redesign process.

Why did we decide to redesign the Organic Mattress and the Hybrid Mattress?

Our priority has always been to listen to our customers' feedback, as we are committed to giving our customers the best sleep. As our brand continues to rapidly grow, we had the opportunity to expand our mattress collection to offer a more tailored sleep experience, ensuring that everyone can find their perfect level of comfort and support. We’re confident that our new catalogue will continue to inspire comfort in the home for years to come.

What are the most significant changes we made?

For the Organic Mattress, we remain committed to nature and quality. We continue to collaborate with our suppliers to ensure all materials meet our quality standards. We use GOTS-certified cotton and GOLS-certified latex, and we've also switched to use GOTS-certified organic wool for our mattress. This ensures the perfect balance between comfort and sustainability, allowing our customers to sleep soundly, knowing they are supporting the environment.

For our Hybrid Mattress, we’re excited to introduce a new Plush version to the line. The new Hybrid Plush boasts premium materials like advanced cooling technology, high-density memory foam, and an extra layer of transitional foam. These enhancements are tailored for customers seeking better pressure relief, a cooler sleep environment, and an assurance of a more restful and luxurious sleep experience. By investing in higher-quality materials and design, our goal is to exceed customer expectations.

How do you think this will improve our customers’ experiences with our brand?

Offering multiple firmness options for both the Organic and Hybrid mattresses marks a significant improvement in the customer’s experience with our brand. By providing a range of firmness levels, customers now have the opportunity to select a mattress that better suits their individual preferences and sleep needs. Whether they prefer a firmer feel for greater support, a medium-firm option for a balance of support and comfort, or a plush feel for a softer, more "cloud-like" experience, there will be a choice for them. We want our Silk & Snow sleepers to feel as though they’ve got their “goldilocks” level of comfort, every single night.?

Expanding our lineup better accommodates broader and more diverse sleeping preferences. Customers can now easily find the perfect mattress tailored to their unique comfort. I foresee our customers' overall satisfaction with their purchase will only improve with our newly launched mattresses. We can’t wait to hear their feedback!
