Spring cleaning! But make it Chrome extension

Are your Chrome extensions becoming unmanageable? Maybe it's time for a spring clean.

I don’t know about you, but my Chrome extensions become more unwieldy as the years roll on. I even find myself having to have a spring clean every so often, and I was pretty ruthless in my most recent purge. But after removing the deadwood, I was left with a new appreciation of the extensions that I use regularly. One of which, Wappalyzer, deserves a special call-out.

Wappalyzer is great as it allows you to look under the bonnet of other competitor websites to see what technologies they’re using on their site. It’s an indispensable research tool in my view. Here’s an example of it in action, profiling the Microsoft site. We can now see their site is built using Adobe’s CMS and that they’re using TikTok’s pixel to potentially retarget website traffic with ads. Clever, right? It just goes to show that a good spring clean never goes to waste. And if you can’t be bothered to pull the hoover out – a digital tidy is the next best thing.
