Spring Clean Your Mind

Spring Clean Your Mind

It is officially Spring and that means more daylight, more flowers, warmer temps (if you live in a cooler climate), and Peeps galore.

It’s also the time of year where we clean up our wintery clutter with some spring cleaning. While it’s great to declutter your space and get the winter cobwebs out, I think it’s equally important that you take the time to de-clutter your mind. You live in your brain every day. Don’t you want that brain to be clean and clear so you can do great stuff!?

Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing my favorite ways to clean up your mind so you get a fresh start.

Here’s this week’s tip:

Clean up what you think is possible for yourself

If you struggle to make big goals that push you, or you struggle to stick to the goals you have and make progress in a meaningful way, it could be because what you think is possible for yourself is rooted in your past. The past happened and you cannot change it, but what makes for a dirty mind, is if you constantly leverage the past as a reference point, specifically if you are referring to past mistakes or past resentments. You are focusing on what is probable instead of what is possible.

You have the power to decide what is possible for you at work and in life- but when you use the past as a reference point, you are looking at a version of you who didn’t know/experience what you have today.

Start by asking yourself better questions that evoke possibility. Here are my favorites:

-???What is possible for others that could be possible for me?

-??What do I need to believe about myself to evoke the truth that anything is possible?

-????What do I need to tell myself to commit myself fully to this goal?

-?????What does consistent action look like?

-?????What obstacles might I face?

-?????What strategies do I need to overcome these obstacles?

Go do this this week and let me know what you found possible for your one beautiful life.

Happy Spring!
