Here are the upcoming events and training that will be held by the Impact House and the Impact House community:

Impact Europe - Business of Impact | 15 - 16th of May | Venice

Business of Impact, Europe’s premier corporate impact summit organised by EVPA 0n 15-16 May in Venice, offers corporate stakeholders the necessary insights and know-how to accelerate their impact journey. Get perspectives on how to transform business models to create more purpose-driven organisations, effective strategies for coherence between impact and business agendas, and discuss how to mobilise resources for collective impact action.

IMPACT MONDAY - Sustainable Collaboration, towards a Person to Person Society | 22nd of May | ZOOM

The authors Joeri Torfs and Pim Ampe examine the present day through a sparkling lens of technological knowledge, sociological insight, and philosophical foundations. Driven by the idea of creating a “heterotopia,” they present a societal structure dedicated to the quality of life – one that avoids the growing culture of blame and instead focuses on relationships, connection, and shared responsibilities. Reimagining the economic and social environment is a tall order, but the authors comprehensively break down every step of this new world, from personal interactions to systemic breakdowns of everything from incarceration to the stock market to the need for increased housing availability and the rise of cryptocurrency. Collaborative concepts for revolutionary systems are an ongoing theme, starkly standing against the current models of individualism, capitalism, and competition.

In their talk during the Impact Monday they’ll elaborate on sustainable collaboration in a Person to Person environment.

IMPACT MONDAY - Unlocking the Potential of Generation Z | 5th of June | Impact House

We’re happy to host Beno?t Vancauwenberghe with his keynote “Unlocking the Potential of Generation Z”.

He designs workshops and sprint sessions to help organizations understand, engage, and retain Generation Z employees.

What are the key characteristics that define Generation Z, including factors that have shaped their values, expectations, and work preferences?

What are the challenges and opportunities associated with managing and engaging Gen Z employees?

What are practical strategies for fostering open communication, supporting professional growth and development, promoting work-life balance and flexibility, and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives?

IMPACT MONDAY - A Seat at the Table | 26th of June | Impact House

A seat at the table offers a series of clear tools to show the business world how to bring more diversity to their teams. When business leaders and managers ask 'where can we find good people?' the answer is: 'Look out the window, outside there are many talented young people with a migration background'.

From his own story, author Youssef Kobo shows how we can close the gap between young diverse talent and the business community. With his story he shakes the world awake, because it is not necessary that the two groups do not find each other easily.

Citizens' recommendations on party financing will be made public

A few months ago, G1000 launched with five other organisations, We Need To Talk, a broad public debate on party funding. A panel of 60 randomly selected citizens spends three weekends examining this fundamental issue for the functioning of the political system in Belgium. Citizens will make recommendations to help politicians break the deadlock.

So far, the citizens had the opportunity to hear from experts and put party presidents on the spot. In May, they will meet for a third weekend and continue the deliberation and formulate their recommendations.?The recommendations will be made public on?Tuesday 16th of May during a press conference in the Impact House.

This moment will launch the handover phase of the recommendations to the political world. This is crucial for the success of the whole project. Follow the process on We Need To Talk socials, on the?website?or in our?newsletter. And thank you for all your support since the launch of this crazy idea last February.?

Participate in Younited Belgium 's Gala Tournament

Younited Belgium is a part of our Impact House family. They use the power of football to change the lives of people struggling with issues such as homelessness or addiction.

We encourage you to participate in their fundraiser, a football tournament. The event takes place on June?2 at the Proximus Basecamp, the home of the Red Devils. Put together a team of eight players and experience the best of both worlds: the adrenaline of the Red Devils and the warmth of Younited. And what's more: a player from the Younited Refugees team will join your team!

Currently, they are looking for a part-time?Program manager - Entrepreneurship to join the Brussels Team.?

Our mission will be to contribute to deploy the activities of BeImpact/Solifin and to manage diverse projects related to entrepreneurship (including acceleration programs, a funding academy journey, match-making sessions, etc..). You will work in Dutch and English.
