llumen Capital Impact Experience Video Release
We are proud to share a look into the Illumen Capital Impact Experience. Impact investing has become increasingly popular in recent years as investors seek to align their financial goals with their values. As part of our continued partnership with Illumen Capital, we gathered investors, fund managers, entrepreneurs, and artists together to delve into the legacy of slavery and present-day manifestations of racism in the asset management industry. This video shares highlights of participants’ experiences and takeaways that we hope will create major shifts in the industry. You can find this video and additional information about our work on our website and social media channels. We encourage you to watch and share it with your networks.?
Uncovering the truth about American Gynecology: Support our Partner, More Than Tours' Mission to Advance Health Equity
It is crucial to support organizations striving to promote health equity for marginalized groups as the world acknowledges the urgency to tackle racial inequalities in healthcare. Our partner, More Than Tours, led by Founder and Visionary, Michelle Browder, is one such organization that deserves our support. Michelle has used art, history, and “real talk” conversations to mentor students through visual arts and spoken word for nearly 35 years. Recently, Michelle has deepened her focus on improving gynecological health outcomes for Black women who face a unique set of challenges due to systemic racism and bias within the healthcare system.1 Michelle and her team rely on donations from individuals like you to fund their important work. Your donation will help create a space for programs to improve healthcare quality for Black Women and women of color and provide education and training for healthcare providers to enhance cultural competency and address bias. Please consider making a donation today to support this important cause. (Earmark : More Up Campus)

Investing for Impact: How CDFIs, MDIs, and Credit Unions Address Socioeconomic Disparities
Impact Experience is delighted to present its latest publication"Investing for Impact: How CDFIs, MDIs, and Credit Unions Address Socioeconomic Disparities." This article, written by the Impact Experience team, explores the critical role of community development financial institutions (CDFIs), minority depository institutions (MDIs), and credit unions in addressing socioeconomic disparities in the United States. Traditional financial institutions such as Silicon Valley Bank, Silvergate, and Signature Bank's recent difficulties have led many to explore alternative banking options such as depositing funds in CDFIs or MDIs, which not only provide a viable solution, but also support and uplift communities in need.?"Access to affordable credit and financial services is critical for economic mobility and financial stability," said Yejide Olutosin, Director of the Business Climate Finance Initiative. "Yet, many communities continue to face significant barriers to accessing these services, due to systemic discrimination, geographic isolation, or other factors." Impact Experience is committed to promoting economic opportunity and financial inclusion through advocacy, and education.
Another Business Climate Finance Success!
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of our recent Business Climate Finance virtual program. On April 10th, we brought together leaders from across the country to discuss the urgent need for sustainable finance solutions. The program featured some amazing guest speakers: Max Messervy, Head of Sustainable Investment, Americas at Mercer, Ashley Orgain, Chief Impact Officer with Seventh Generation, Impact Experience’s very own Co-Founder and CEO, Jenna Anita Nicholas and Director of Business Climate Finance, Yejide Olutosin, MBA. These speakers shared their insights and experiences on a wide range of topics related to climate finance, from exploring the role of company leadership in driving sustainable investment to discussing the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities. Please be on the lookout for the next event.
