Spring 2024 Internship Experience at GroundGame.Health

As another semester comes to an end, I am thrilled to share my incredible experience as a Data Analyst intern at GroundGame.Health. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work on diverse projects that expanded my skills and knowledge in data analytics.

One significant project I was involved in focused on calculating contact rates, engagement rates, and conversion rates of members. My responsibilities revolved around extracting essential data from the database through SQL queries, demanding precision and meticulous attention to detail. Another significant project I undertook involved utilizing MS SQL Server to calculate and categorize the fulfilment status of needs by different Community-Based Organizations. This task required querying data to determine how many needs were met and provided important insights into how effective these organizations were in addressing specific needs as part of our initiatives.

In addition to data extraction, I was tasked with the responsibility of generating comprehensive reports on Microsoft PowerBI derived from the extracted data. These reports served as valuable insights for the QA team, facilitating informed decision-making.

Throughout this enriching journey, I had the privilege of working alongside a dynamic team of professionals. One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship experience was the collaborative environment fostered by my team. Whenever I encountered challenges or needed assistance, my colleagues were proactive in offering their support, contributing to my learning and growth throughout the internship. I would also like to express my appreciation to my colleagues— Amogh Bhaskara , Sush Shantha , Nive Naik, Bhargava Guruvula , and Rahat Bhalla . Their shared passion for innovation and collaborative spirit has shaped my understanding of the impactful role that data plays in the healthcare realm.

My time at GroundGame.Health was not only professionally enriching but also personally fulfilling. It provided me with hands-on experience in utilising advanced analytics tools and techniques in a real-world setting, preparing me for future endeavours in the field of data analytics. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a dynamic and supportive team, and I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge gained during my internship to future endeavours.
