Spreading the Message... Leader Character Matters
Kanina Sophia Blanchard, PhD
Assistant Professor & CEMS Academic Director @ Ivey Business School | Principal at Opportunity Creation
Just delivered a successful character workshop for the leaders of the City of Brampton with my colleague Dr. Brenda Nguyen. Brenda is organizing a leader character workshop in Calgary on June 19th, 2018, at the PTAC center, with Amir Bahman Radnejad and Gerard Seijts. I encourage all those able to register:
Character is a critical element of leadership, but it often does not get the attention afforded to competency. I am proud to be working with Ivey Professors Mary Crossan and Gerard Seijts who are changing the nature of the conversation about good leadership by elevating the value of a leader’s character. Based on research, bridging theory and management practice, their book "Developing Leadership Character" will interest students and practitioners alike. Readers will benefit not only from a new, robust theoretical framework for leadership character, but will also learn how character can be developed further.
Congratulations to Christine Braun and her amazing team at the City of Brampton for an incredible day with various presenters and speakers focused on leadership for the future!
