Spreading ideas or making profit?
During last days I was in dilemma about further distribution of my book Major players in the Muslim Business World. Whether to keep actual price and make good profit or reduce price and profit in order to attract more readers? Having considered very good response and interest, especially of younger generations, students and others, who usually, face shortage of money I decided to contact my publisher and propose reduce of price. After consultations, yesterday, I convinced them to set lower price for e-book edition. Instead of previous 33$ for e-book edition, new price is now 14.99$. It might sounds crazy to go with more than 50% discount when you are achieving unexpected good results. Yes, it is always good to earn some money, even if it comes from ''non primary business'' sources. However, the book availability for various gruops of potential readers who showed the interest is more important. More than 5,500 likes on the book web page on Amazon and the publisher's web site give me idea to go in this direction. Between making profit or spreading ideas, I choose second. Am I right? I believe I am.
