Spread the Word to Save the Voice during Pandemic

As many of you may know, I'm a board member and supporter of the Parkinson Voice Project (PVP). I've watched how my family and friends are improving their voices and keeping them strong during this pandemic because of PVP's efforts. Protecting the voices of those with Parkinson's during this time for quarantine is now more important than ever!!
I've known about PVP's resources but thought I would share them with friends in our community who may need support or would share with those who may not know. Since the beginning of the pandemic, PVP has risen to the challenge to support our community during this time by:
- PVP's founder and CEO, Samantha Elandary is holding daily practice sessions online via Facebook at 10am CDT/11am EDT/ 12pm ADT/ 9am MDT/ 8am PDT. All sessions are recorded and available to watch anytime on Facebook - just search for Parkinson Voice Project in the search bar.
- You can also visit PVP's website and view the archive of the Facebook sessions.
- Also on their website, you can view a variety of practice videos from PVP's speech therapists.
In honor of PVP's 15th anniversary, you can sign up to join PVP's Global Virtual Choir where you can do online practices and submit your video of you and/or your family singing the song especially written for PVP's anniversary. Video submissions are due on September 14. The Global Virtual Choir will debut on November 7th!
If you are a speech therapist (or student) who is looking for widening your training or need CEUs, SPEAK OUT & LOUD CROWD Training is available to you online. Plus, PVP has also added a training series on how to conduct telehealth therapy sessions online.
Why am I sharing this with you?
I don't receive any financial benefit to share this info - only to share good information with those I care about because I want you to keep your voice the best it can be!
If you know of someone who can benefit from this information, please pass it along and share.
