Most job seekers who want to find a job by year end ramp up the number of jobs they apply to ... what recruiters call "Spray and Pray" (applying online, increasing the volume, and hope you get lucky).
Spray and Pray works poorly in the highly competitive recovery job market we see today (90M+ candidates competing for 10M+ advertised jobs). It doesn't work at all near the end of the year, in the holiday season.
As a career coach, I hear this all the time from job seekers in November and December, who complain "There's no new jobs being advertised in the last part of the year". So many job seekers put their searches on hold, assuming there's no point.
These candidates miss one of the most productive times of the year to search for jobs. Companies with strong profits or in growth mode continue to hire during the holidays. but few of these positions are advertised.
This gives job seekers who stay active in November and December a huge advantage, because most of their competition take theses two months off their job search. In addition, hiring managers are often easier to reach during the last two months, giving you the chance to stand out.
But sending your resume to your contacts, asking your friends if they know of any openings, nor finding openings online and sending your resume directly to the hiring manager works poorly, and gets your resume directed to the ATS that you've tried to avoid.
Why give up your job search or try to "Spray and Pray" your efforts to reach employers?
Instead, let me show you how to take advantage of the unique nature of the November-December job market, so you can find a great job by year end. I'll teach you these and other resume/job search strategies to make your search work so fast you can find your next job by year end. And that's even if you're unemployed, over 40, changing careers, or have other tough job search problems.
This is the 3rd job market recovery cycle I've recruited/coached through, so I've seen first hand what resume and job search strategies succeed for job seekers during recovering job markets. I've also seen mistakes candidates make, causing their recovery job searches to fail. I've been through this before and know what works and what doesn't.
As a top national recruiter who reads hundreds of resumes per day, who has helped hundreds of thousands of candidates in their job search, and seen thousands of employers' job search processes from the inside, I've got a different perspective than most career coaches.
I see that most job seekers do essentially the same things, even when they think they are job searching differently. I also see most job seekers were taught search methods that eliminate them from consideration, because they conflict with the employer's hiring process.
But I've been teaching job seekers to accelerate their job searches for 14 years by using non-traditional resume/job search strategies that demonstrate impact rather than just being average. I'll show you how to accelerate your job search so you can find a job fast by understanding employers' point of view and hiring processes ... and using this understanding to beat your competition.
(I'm not just a career coach. I've also been a top national recruiter for the last 17 years ... so you'll get advice from an insider's point of view.)
Let me show you what changes you can make to accelerate your job search, whether you're currently employed, between jobs, over 40, trying to change careers/industry/location, if your industry is in decline/consolidation, trying to overcome long term career gaps, family leave, find a remote job, turnaround your job search or other tough to solve job search problems.
