Spotlight on Team Member Lotfi Aridhi

With a degree in computer engineering, Lotfi began his career in the development of trading applications, a professional sector that had little in common with his personal values. He quickly moved into the medical sector, which made more sense to him. He worked for GE Healthcare for 6 years before joining our Montpellier-based R&D team in 2019.??

Lotfi is part of our systems engineering team and has a cross-functional role. Today, he is working on the IT equipment and innovative technologies to be integrated into the ROSA robot. His mission? Bring back innovative ideas for future products, test the feasibility of visionary concepts, and interact with our suppliers on a technical level.??

In the last few years, the success of ROSA has led to a sharp increase in demand worldwide. To keep up with market demand, our production team, also based in Montpellier, has had to adapt to this increase by changing the way it does business. Lotfi played an active role in optimizing our robot assembly processes, advising production teams on how to simplify the installation process. As a result, installation times and the number of possible errors were significantly reduced, enabling us to automate the process while meeting the most demanding quality standards.??

Lotfi particularly enjoys working on the integration of IT solutions, as this gives him a global vision of the product. His role enables him to bridge the gap between needs and possible technical solutions, which he describes as very stimulating.??

On a day-to-day basis, he has a great deal of autonomy in his work and independence over the tasks he must undertake, which he appreciates greatly. Working in the medical field and knowing that his work contributes to people's well-being is a great source of motivation for Lotfi.?
