Spotlight Series: Part 3 – Branding & Customization

Branding used to be as simple as picking a catchy slogan to draw in customers. While this is still important today, branding has grown from a purely commercial necessity into the foundation of corporate identity. Everything from wording to coloring affects how consumers perceive a business, so to stand out in a crowded marketplace, a strong brand identity across all your messaging is essential.

Color

A business’s color scheme is about far more than catching a consumer’s eye. Having the right colors for your company increases brand awareness by 80%, with 85% of customers listing color as the main reason they buy a product. In all likelihood, hours were probably dedicated to making sure your company’s color scheme perfectly emulates its core values, with each subtle shade conveying a distinct message.

The problem - Many virtual platforms and apps only use the developer’s coloring, which benefits them but can cost your brand. 42% of consumers base their opinion of brands off the overall design of their platform, so sacrificing a carefully crafted color scheme could impact how you are perceived.

What we do - All In The Loop offers complete customization for the color schemes of our apps and platforms. Our designers will work closely with your team to ensure continuity of branding on every page, tab and feature of your tailored platform or app. Our own colors will be totally absent from the finished product, making sure attendees only view content branded in your own, personal color scheme.

Messaging

Your company’s messaging extends beyond a slogan or tagline, covering every message and piece of text associated with the business. Therefore, it can be jarring for consumers if your content is a mismatch of different tones and semantics. For example, if you run a luxury brand, you might generally use lavish, emotive language in your marketing, so an app full of slang and technical jargon would clash with your identity. Likewise, if your company is running an internal conference, the schedule for this event should probably be labelled as a ‘timetable’, as this suggests a structured and mandatory set of sessions, rather than a more laid-back ‘itinerary’ or ‘agenda’.

The problem - Organizers often have little to no input on the phrasing of content within an app or platform. If developers have a set wording for each tab, shortcut or resource, the text used will not reflect your company’s message and could seem jarring for attendees.

What we do - All In The Loop’s tailored event solutions can be personalized to almost any extent, including the text within apps and platforms. Our designers can customize any resource to better suit the client, with our in-house marketing team on hand to advise. Likewise, any text can be edited right up to the day of the event, in case your intended message changes at short notice.

Design

The symbols and imagery associated with a company can be what defines it in the public eye. Andy Warhol famously claimed “perception precedes reality”, which is certainly true in business. Your company’s logo is more than just a decorative makers mark, it is a declaration that goods and services reflect the quality of the supplier. The designs associated with your brand can inspire confidence in an instant;?with the human brain able to process visuals 60,000 times faster than text. This is why the iconic Coca-Cola font has remained relatively unchanged since the 19th century, while Starbucks coffee now only prints its logo, not its name, onto products. Corporate imagery is an essential and invaluable resource.

The problem - Most event apps and platforms display developer’s own design choices, reflecting and furthering their identity, but not yours. This fails to benefit organizers by excluding their logo and branding, negatively impacting their reputation with confusing imagery, an inconsistent set of designs and a less professional finish.

What we do - All In The Loop does not include our own corporate branding in any of our event solutions, giving partners absolute control over the design and layout of their apps and platforms. This provides a truly custom design, including personalization of the home screen and left-hand menu, which no other developer offers. This gives our partners a fully tailored final product, consistent with their own designs and featuring their logo. We offer businesses unprecedented customization options to create a unique, perfectly branded final product.
