Today, we're delighted to feature Amanda Garcia, a valued boomerang team member at Sono Bello! Amanda has been part of our community for nearly four years, and we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on her.

Can you share your journey of career progression as a working mom within the company?

I served the organization as Practice Manager for the Atlanta Center for about a year and a half. ?After a small hiatus away from Sono Bello, I returned in 2021 as a Training Manager overseeing Clinical, Sales and Leadership Training until 2022.? As we have grown exponentially in the last two years, I now solely oversee all new Practice Managers through their onboarding and training experience as the Sr. Manager of Leadership, TMX.

What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced as a working Mom?

One of the biggest challenges that I’ve faced and overcome is not always being available for every activity that’s important to my children.? I’ve learned through the years how to be present and impactful other ways and to include family and friends into their growth and development so they feel supported and loved.?

What do you love most about being a Mom?

Being a mom is the absolute joy of my life and has fulfilled me in ways that I never thought possible.?I love sitting front row to their successes and accomplishments, seeing the best parts of them shine through as they become a young lady and young gentlemen but most importantly, being the receiving end of the stories.? I love hearing about their day, their wins, losses and opportunities, how they navigating their challenges and feel proud of the successes.? It’s the favorite part of my day!

What words of encouragement do you have for other working Moms?

By showing up everyday for your team and for your family is not always going to be easy, but it will be worth it.? The return on your investment of time will never expire and just like with your team members, your children won’t always remember what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel.? Embrace the hard days and give yourself some grace, there is joy in all of it.

How do you communicate your availability and boundaries to your team?

By planning ahead and forecasting everyone’s schedule, I am able to work with my team to ensure coverage and proper scheduling. My goal is to be present and prepared for both my children and the up and coming leaders in this company.?

What are you most proud of about being a working Mom?

I am proud that my children get to see me doing what I love everyday! It’s in these moments of recognition that they are learning work ethic, how to be authentically themselves, time management and leadership. ??
