Spotlight: Osage Friends for Felines TNR Inc.
Northeast Kansas Animal Welfare Foundation
Supporting animal welfare organizations and combatting cruelty and pet overpopulation since 1983.
This month's shelter spotlight features Osage Friends for Felines TNR Inc.
They are a very young, but busy organization who incorporated in January 2023 and they serve the community of Osage City, Kansas. After getting things set up, they began trapping in mid March. As of April 18th, they have spayed and neutered a total of 23 cats with the help of a local clinic.
Osage Friends for Felines is a donation based nonprofit that is completely centered on the cats of their community. Their mission is to improve the lives and health of community cats in the Osage City area.
The Secretary Treasurer of the organization said she is proud of the way they "strive to do what is right for each individual caretaker and colony." They are also very involved in trying to get more community youth involved - educating them on animal welfare, and teaching them to be compassionate and kind. The team at Osage Friends for Felines strives to maintain a progressive attitude towards animal welfare - evolving and adapting to their community's needs and educating along the way.
Through your kind donations, NKAWF can continue supporting animal welfare organizations such as Osage Friends for Felines. Learn more at www.nkawf.org.

1 周This seems like such a long time ago. We have now fixed over 500 cats. And touched the life of over 120 more by either helping with medical care or through partnerships with licensed foster organizations finding them a way out of colony life and into home life.
