Q: What are the top three career lessons you’ve learned so far??

A: The three top career lessons I’ve learned so far are 1) be yourself and value your time along with your clients’ time; 2) be patient; and 3) keep learning every day.?

Q: What is your favorite quote or motto???

A: Theodore Roosevelt said, “It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself in a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.”?

Q: What did you want to be when growing up??

A: I wanted to be a baseball player!?

Q: How do you define success??

A: I define success as being able to experience life for all that it has to offer. Enjoying the highs and lows for what they are and having the ability to continue forward with a clear mind. I believe finding a balance to achieve your personal goals along with professional goals is the path to success.?

Q: What drew you to Epoch Concepts as your place to work???

A: What drew me to Epoch as my place to work was the company’s high ethical standards, and leadership's willingness to take a risk with me. They also allowed me to be my true authentic self when serving clients and encouraged me to pursue life outside of work.?

Q: With which three words would you want your colleagues to describe you??

A: No quit mentality.

Q: What did you do for work before Epoch Concepts??

A: I was in technology sales from early in my career. Prior to working in tech, I was a strength and conditioning coach.?

Q: What is the first thing you do when you start your workday??

A: Drink coffee with my dogs and enjoy the calm before the storm of the work day.?

Q: If you got a year off with full pay, how would you spend it??

A: I would camp in the summer with my family, exploring mountains and fishing new rivers. Then I would get on a plane in the winter to chase good snow with my wife and explore new back-country lines.?

Q: What does a typical day look like for you???

A: I wake at 4:30 am, drink some coffee, then take my dogs on a walk in the hills. I work from 6 am - 4 pm then get a good workout in before spending time with my family.?

Q: What do you do on weekends??

A: My weekends are definitely seasonally based, but you can expect me to be doing something outdoors with my wife whether it be snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, hiking, or training.?

Q: What inspires you in life??

A: The opportunity to win every day as a human being whether it be at work, fitness, exploration, mentoring the athletes I coach, or being present for my family and friends.?

Q: What is the most unusual thing you have ever done in life??

A: Getting into technology!?
