FluidAI Partnering with Medtronic Canada on CCPC Project

FluidAI Medical, a AI startup https://fluidai.md and developer of the "Stream Platform" for post-surgical monitoring, is partnering with Medtronic Canada ULC https://medtronic.com/ca-en/index.html , a subsidiary of Medtronic PLC.

They are working together to improve Canadian healthcare through the "Continuous Connected Patient Care" (CCPC) project under Canada's Global Innovation Cluster for digital technologies known as DIGITAL.

Hospitalized patients, especially for patients with serious complications, often remain in the hospital longer than necessary after their condition stabilizes. The CCPC project enables patients to continue their care at home after discharge via the development of new predictive analytics, AI, and home monitoring technologies that are able to provide uninterrupted care from the hospital to the home.

Medtronic leads the CCPC project in partnership with leaders of Canadian healthcare and technology that includes, Cloud DX, Excelar Technologies, Providence Health Care's St. Paul's Hospital, Providence Health Care Ventures, Simon Fraser University, Bridge Health Solutions, StarFish Medical, and most recently FluidAI.

While Medtronic is working on new medical devices, FluidAI is going to improve their "Stream, Platform" to be used in collaboration with Medtronic, to develop the cloud platform in order to provide remote patient monitoring.

According to Rick Sethi, R&D Director at Medtronic, "Collaboration is key to developing new patient centric solutions. As healthcare delivery and patient needs change, it is important that we continue to evolve so we can provide our partners with tools and support for our clinicians. Collaboration is key to developing new patient centric solutions in order to help our clinicians provide personalized care for their patients."
