IT Trends 2024: Insights from the Market
As we close out the first month of 2024, it’s a good opportunity to cast an eye over the current state of the IT market- and to make some predictions for the year ahead. As ever, the IT industry is evolving rapidly. This brings with it a range of emerging challenges and opportunities.
The CFO reports that a recent Gartner survey found that digital transformation remains the top investment priority for CFOs in 2024. It’s encouraging that organisations are continuing to prioritise their IT infrastructure and taking a proactive attitude towards IT investment. Evidently, we will continue to see substantial investment in transformative IT projects and services throughout 2024.
Organisations will continue to embrace developing technologies such as AI and hybrid cloud. Cybersecurity will also remain a key priority. At Auxilion, we look forward to providing our customers with the support they need in these areas in order to take advantage of emerging opportunities while maintaining exceptional security standards.
The IT recruitment market will also remain extremely lively this year, with IrishJobs.ie reporting that hiring will return to pre-pandemic levels. This means that the need for skilled tech workers will continue to grow and will keep a strong emphasis on training and development.
At Auxilion, we are constantly developing our services in order to provide our customers with the elite IT partnership they require. Throughout the year, we will be running events and webinars and producing blogs, videos, brochures and other content to keep our customers up to date on all of our services activities. Case Study: An Post Terraform Support
Auxilion recently completed a project with An Post to automate and modernise their Azure infrastructure. This is an excellent example of the kind of digital transformation projects we provide for our customers. This case study provides an overview of this engagement.
Our team used Terraform software tooling and a DevOps methodology throughout this project. Auxilion's support has allowed An Post to develop infrastructure far more efficiently and reliably and has facilitated easier collaboration across the organisation. An Post will continue to benefit from Auxilion's support as their IT infrastructure evolves.
