Spotlight on Faith: Driving Impact with JAN

This month, we are excited to feature Faith Ilori , a dedicated Program Intern who has been committed to making impact with JAN for the past 14 months. Faith plays a vital role in planning and executing impactful projects that inspire and prepare young people for success.

In this Q&A, Faith shares her journey at JAN, her favorite moments, the challenges she’s overcome, and how her work aligns with our mission.

Q: How long have you been working with JAN?

A: I have been working with JAN for 14 months.

Q: What department/team do you work with?

A: I work with the Program Department.

Q: Can you briefly describe your job responsibilities?

A: My role involves planning and implementing the completion of programs, ensuring that they are completed on time, impactful, and within scope.

Q: What inspired you to join JAN?

A: The organization’s culture and the relevance of its impact work really inspired me to join JAN.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working with JAN?

A: What I enjoy most is working with the amazing people here—both staff and volunteers—and hearing the success stories of the program beneficiaries.

Q: What are some of your accomplishments and challenges in your role?

A: Two accomplishments that stand out are:

? Expanding the impact area of JAN programs within my state.

? Building a community of leaders among my volunteers, which is reflected in their growth and proactive approach.

As for challenges, dealing with stakeholders who are not very interested in JAN’s work can be quite difficult.

Q: How does your work contribute to JAN’s mission?

A: My work directly contributes to JAN’s mission of inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in the global economy. I ensure that our projects are successfully delivered on time, within budget, and meet the expected impact.

Q: What do you like to do outside of work (hobbies, interests)?

A: Outside of work, I love to sleep or listen to Adele while surfing Pinterest.

Q: How has working with JAN influenced your growth/development as a person?

A: Working with JAN has solidified my values of excellence and integrity. It has taught me to see challenges as opportunities and to create initiatives to solve them. It has also helped me learn how to handle pressure calmly and manage my life better.
