  • Mubadala Capital, the alternative asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, has successfully closed its fourth private equity fund, MIC Capital Partners IV, raising $3.1 billion, surpassing its initial target of $2 billion.

  • Blackstone surpassed Wall Street expectations, reporting a record $1.1 trillion in AUM and an increase in fund value, showcasing its increasing global influence in alternative investments.

  • According to a survey by Bloomberg Intelligence, the private credit market is set for double-digit annual growth, potentially reaching $3 trillion and capturing 11% of the fixed income market. Respondents noted that private lending holds a spread premium of 100-300 bps over public markets, emphasizing faster execution and liquidity trade-offs.

  • Investors continue to show strong interest in AI technologies. Preqins latest report reveals that private equity tech buyout volume has nearly doubled over the past decade. The software sub-sector, including SaaS, machine learning, and AI, accounted for 70% of deal volume and 66% of value in tech buyouts over the last five years.
