Data Loss and Ransomware Attacks Among Top Reported Cloud Cybersecurity Risks
Our new survey reveals that data loss/theft and ransomware/malware attacks are the cybersecurity concerns most cited by IT leaders in Ireland when it comes to the cloud- both at 30%. The research found that 40% of respondents see IT security risks as a main concern associated with adopting and managing cloud computing. 42% said that the changing cybersecurity landscape was one of the biggest obstacles to the successful delivery of their IT strategy, and 26% do not think current laws and regulations are sufficient to protect privacy, access, and confidentiality in a cloud-based environment.?
Adding to this, almost a quarter (24%) of IT decision-makers surveyed who are currently using the cloud do not think their own organisation has sufficient capabilities to manage cloud computing and more than a third of those respondents admitted to having little or no visibility of their workloads in the cloud (36%).

Irish Tech Resourcing Overview
The Irish tech market is continuing its rebound after the challenges of 2023. It's currently in a particularly dynamic phase, with many organisations implementing change programmes and requiring skilled tech professionals as a result.
Graham Keegan, Auxilion's Resourcing Services Business Manager, provides an overview of the current state of the Irish tech market.
"A steady quarter on quarter rebound in tech staffing has continued across the Irish landscape. We've seen continued investment in change programmes and digital initiatives broadly across all industries and company sizes. Renewed investment in technology spend has caused an upsurge in demand for tech professionals for project specific work.
