Spot On Insurance Welcomes Hadi Radwan

A serious illness or injury can wipe out the accumulated wealth of a lifetime, yet more than 50% of American households have no income protection insurance.?This is despite people being 3.5 times more likely to need it than life insurance.?Hadi Radwan is working to close that coverage gap.

Hadi is the co-founder of Asteya, a state-of-the-art cloud-based platform offering permanent disability and accidental death products.?The company’s goal is to make income insurance available to all.?Hadi is a serial entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in the creation, development, and management of high-growth online start-ups.?In addition to an MBA from the IE Business School, he is a graduate of Harvard University’s Program for Leadership Development.

Hadi explains that disability insurance is a highly complex product, often misunderstood even by insurance professionals.?Historically, underwriting guidelines were strict.?As a result, DI agents in the past usually targeted small, high-income individuals.?By addressing both product design and the distribution channel, Hadi hopes to get these products into the hands of more people who need them.?Asteya is a Sanskrit word embodying the idea of not taking more than one needs.?The name reflects the positive focus of the company on increasing clients’ “healthspan” through wellness initiatives in addition to providing resources when life-changing accidents or illnesses occur.
